Atlas Ocean Voyages is the leader in luxury expedition cruising, as the first to embark on year-round expeditions. They are the US subsidiary of Mystic Invest Holding, based in Portugal, making Atlas the first ocean cruise line to sail under the Portuguese flag. Mystic Invest Holding has more than 25 years of experience in hospitality and travel, including river cruises, tours, and attractions.

Challenge

As a pioneer in luxury expedition cruises, Atlas Ocean Voyages needed a visual and storytelling refresh to match the launch of its new vessels, World Navigator and World Traveller, and to communicate its unique, adventure-focused positioning.

Solution

The creation of a cohesive suite of marketing assets that reflected the brand’s high-end ethos. I developed distinct sub-brand identities for on-board offerings, such as Zephyr Lounge and Lisboa restaurant.

The integrated campaign—anchored by the “At Last…Atlas” theme—boosted customer engagement across social and email channels and supported a successful booking season. The cohesive onboard sub-branding elevated the guest experience and supported cross-promotional storytelling.

DIGITAL MEDIA

To support the launch of Atlas Ocean Voyages’ luxury expedition offerings, I led the creation of a cohesive suite of front-end digital designs tailored to enhance user engagement and drive bookings across platforms. This included website interface layouts designed for intuitive navigation and immersive storytelling, showcasing voyage highlights, onboard amenities, and destination details in a clean, editorial style that aligns with the brand’s premium positioning. High-performing email blasts were developed to feature segmented content strategies and visually compelling modules that increased open rates and click-through engagement. These were paired with digital e-vites for exclusive events and announcements, maintaining brand consistency while offering personalized touches for VIP audiences. In addition, animated banner ads were optimized for various ad networks, each crafted to reflect the refined yet adventurous tone of the Atlas brand. These banners leveraged motion and high-impact visuals to highlight seasonal promotions, new itineraries, and the unveiling of the World Navigator and World Traveller yachts.

DIGITAL CARDS & BANNER ADS

As part of the integrated digital campaign for Atlas Ocean Voyages, a series of animated holiday e-cards and banner ads were created to enhance seasonal engagement and elevate brand visibility across channels. These animated holiday cards, created for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eve, featured elegant transitions, subtle motion graphics, and nautical-inspired elements that paid homage to the brand’s expedition spirit and luxury positioning. Cards were distributed via email and social media, strengthening customer relationships during key seasonal touchpoints. In tandem, I developed a suite of performance-driven digital banner ads—customized across multiple sizes and placements—to support the highly anticipated launches of the World Navigator and World Traveller yachts. The ads showcased the refined aesthetic of Atlas, integrating curated destination imagery, refined typography, and subtle animations to evoke both adventure and exclusivity. These assets were strategically designed for both awareness and conversion, contributing to heightened engagement metrics during the campaign period. Together, these animated and static assets provided cohesive digital storytelling that not only celebrated seasonal milestones but also reinforced Atlas’ position as a leader in luxury expedition travel.

With year-round expeditions for every season, Atlas Ocean Voyages offers an adventure for every kind of explorer. Their Cultural Expeditions take guests on journeys through vibrant history, art, architecture, folklore, and local communities of Northern Europe, Iceland, South America, and the Caribbean, as well as aboard Transoceanic expeditions. Polar Expeditions by Atlas are made for intrepid spirits who love a challenge, exploring the furthest reaches of the Earth in Antarctica, Patagonia and the Falklands, the High Arctic of Svalbard, Norway, and Greenland. Aboard Epicurean Expeditions, culinary and wine connoisseurs will dive deep into the cuisine cultures of Italy, Spain, France, the Greek Isles, and hidden gems amid the Mediterranean. It all happens together in good company aboard intimate yachts.

VIDEO WORK

Complementing the static assets, I produced social media videos that combined destination footage, animated typography, and the campaign’s signature soundtrack (“At Last”) to convey the emotional appeal of the expeditions. These videos played a pivotal role in capturing attention on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, helping to drive awareness and reinforce the brand narrative. Combined with a broader suite of digital assets, these efforts delivered a seamless, multi-platform brand experience that reinforced Atlas Ocean Voyages’ reputation for elegance and innovation—ultimately driving engagement and converting consumer interest into measurable demand.

Accompanying the imagery is Atlas' invitation to explorers and dreamers to aspire to travel again: At Last… At Last it's time… At Last it's time to come back to something brand new. At Last… Atlas.

BRAND IDENTITY

In addition to designing a suite of marketing materials for Atlas Ocean Voyages, I was tasked with developing the distinct brand identities for two of the cruise line’s signature onboard experiences: Zephyr Lounge and Lisboa, a Portuguese-influenced fine dining restaurant. For Zephyr Lounge, located on the aft deck of the World Traveller yacht, the goal was to visually convey a tranquil, elevated environment that invited guests to unwind while sailing. The branding reflects an airy, contemporary vibe, aligned with the oceanfront views and luxurious ambiance of the space. For Lisboa, the objective was to honor the cruise line’s Portuguese heritage through a refined identity rooted in European sophistication. Drawing inspiration from Lisbon’s culture and architecture, the visual language embraces rich tones, classic typography, and artisanal charm. Deliverables for both sub-brands included: • Strategic name ideation grounded in cultural and experiential cues • Mood boards to establish creative direction • Custom logo designs and supporting brand icons • Curated color palettes and typography systems • High-quality renderings for application across marketing and onboard materials Each identity was carefully crafted to harmonize with Atlas Ocean Voyages' overall brand, while maintaining a distinct visual language that enhances the guest experience and supports cohesive storytelling across digital and print platforms.

The vision for Atlas Ocean Voyages was conceived in Portugal, with elegant main restaurants to pay homage to that heritage, with Madeira aboard World Voyager, Lisboa aboard World Traveller, and Porto on World Navigator.
